Time Capsule

The Children of year 2 at St Mary's School together with the Customs House Museum buried a time capsule in the grounds of the museum at 11am on 17th July 2011.

After a dull start and the clouds threatening rain the weather decided to start brightening up and by 10.30am we were enjoying a brighter day that was promising to behave for the burial of the time capsule. Morning tea was being served and the hole had been dug. Children lined up to place their envelopes in the capsule and one by one their predictions for the future were placed in the capsule. Some of the kids dreams were of flying cars, others said there would be robots to do all the work. We have asked the children to return on 16th July 2051 and recover the capsule to see just how accurate the predictions were
